Authorities are offering a $20,000 reward for information on a fire that destroyed a QVC distribution facility in North Carolina and killed a worker.
News outlets report the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives is offering up to $10,000, and QVC is matching it, “should that information point to criminal activity,” ATF Special Agent in Charge Vince Pallozzi said
Pallozzi said investigators haven’t reached any conclusions on what started the fire on Dec. 18. He said the agency is looking to the former employees, along with their friends, families and neighbors to provide any details relevant to the investigation.
North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey also asked anyone who knows anything to come forward.
Firefighters said about 75% of the QVC facility was destroyed in the fire, which killed a 21-year-old worker. In January, the company that runs QVC announced it was shutting down the center, putting nearly 2,000 people out of work.
